What can I say, they know that the humans here love animals and will indulge them a little before running them off. :D

Meet the neighbors

Our apartment complex backs up to a run-off river and a large field. Consequently, we have a bit of wildlife. Sometimes they drop by. I apologize for the quality of these pictures, you really do have to view the larger versions to even see what is in them, but the lighting conditions were bad and I couldn't get closer.

Foreign Language Podcast Directory - if you scroll down you'll find a Swedish language newscast that will give you a feel for how Swedish sounds in a natural setting.

Summer Vacation

This summer, the month of July, I spent in Nevada with a side-trip to Arizona. I took some pictures, thought I'd share them with y'all too. Just click on the little images to see the larger versions.

These first ones are from the 7-11 in Henderson that had been transformed to look like a Kwik-E-Mart, part of a promotion thing for The Simpsons movie.












Next up, my friend and I took a little trip down to Havasu, Arizona to see the London Bridge. Rich people are nuts, man. :D But here are pictures of the bridge.










Don't you just love that? Nothing says 'London Bridge' quite like tropical trees. heh

I had a really lovely time, though I think next time I go visit Havasu it'll need to be not during the dead of summer. It was insanely hot and my friend and I went through over a gallon of water that day.

Loooong week

Isn't it funny how time stretches? I can't believe it's only Wednesday. It feels like it should be Friday already. Not that I'm in a rush to get to the end of the week, but it feels a little odd.

I went ahead and got a myspace, so that I could friend those of you who use that service. But I'll not be posting there.

I've been having a pretty good week so far, time dilation not withstanding. :D

Aches and Pains

For some silly reason my calves woke me up today with major cramping. Friends have said it could be a calcium or potassium deficiency. Which, yes...it could be. Or it could be that I was a total lump yesterday and did nothing at all. :D Whatever the case, it has not been fun and I'll be hydrating and getting some potassium in me asap.

One regret

The one regret I have about this past weekend with my family is that I didn't have a camera. I wish I had some pictures from Saturday evening/night. It was such a special time for me.

Well hello then

I had such a lovely time visiting my family down in San Antonio that I thought I'd create this little thing so that I could, possibly, stay in better contact with them. I can't/won't get a myspace page. They're just not my thing, but I can do this. :)
